Vaibhav Kumar, a customer relishing Pirukia at Gauri Shankar Mishthan Bhandar located at Kanti Factory Road in Rajendra Nagar, told News18 Local that Pirukia is our love. Whenever they get a chance, they reach here with their friends to taste Pirukiya. Apart from this, student Pulkit Kumar’s friend Anand Kumar told that he lives in Delhi. Now he was going to Darbhanga, but on the suggestion of his friend, he has specially stopped in Patna to eat Pirukiya.

Shopkeeper Rambabu tells that this is the famous sweet of Pirukia Thawe. According to him, making Pirukiya is a very fine work. That’s why it also takes time. Flour, water, khoya, pure ghee and sugar syrup are used in preparing Pirukiya. Except sugar and white flour, all other ingredients are prepared in the shop itself. Talking about the price, where Pirukia is available at the rate of Rs.300 per kg, the price of Peda is Rs.360 per kg. Pirukia is available for Rs.18 and Peda for Rs.12 per piece.
